Also, quicksave regularly just in case, there are quite a few bugs, some even softlocking progression. I've only had a posse member stuck like 2-3 times, all those times kick/roll worked to get them moving again. To get them unstuck kick them or roll into them kicking them does 25 damage so only use that sparingly, but rolling into them works most of the time. They can be found in their own start locations, Jane Bell in her house, etc. If you've completed a journey/chapter, just use your old character as your posse member, they'll have all their old gear and items, and they'll use their abilities which you've previously upgraded/unlocked. 12 barrel pistol instead of 6, faster shooting rifle instead of longer range but slower fire rate. ![]() Whatever weapon you give them, make sure it's the faster speed variant or higher chamber variant. If you're talking about mercs whom you hire from the saloon, they're all random, at every town there's a chance for a higher rank merc to spawn. ![]() I will make sure to give them rifles since my play style is long range kills.ĭidn't realize I had to kick them to get them unstuck, even when they are just standing there stock still in open ground? Some Posse members are unique, obtained through story quests or choices. I have level 2 of the posse perk and am saving up cards to unlock level 3.
